Public Call: Developing Promotional Visual Content for the Herzegovina Wine Route (HWR)

USAID Turizam is soliciting proposals from qualified and interested content creators (agencies and individuals) for the purpose of creating visual content that will be used to promote and market HWR in the international marketplace.

Turizam and FTC believe that the HWR, when branded, positioned and promoted in a sustainable manner, will help expand the BiH country awareness in new markets and amongst wider traveler segments, increase interest in and consideration of the country as an attractive and desirable destination. This, in turn, will generate additional demand to and sales for the entire value chain associated with HWR which includes 29 wineries and dozens of restaurants, travel agents, accommodation services, activities as well as community and home-based experiences in Herzegovina region and beyond.

Public Call: Product Designation and Certification Support Services

USAID Turizam is soliciting offers from companies and organizations to submit proposals to participate with Turizam to support securing indications, quality standard certifications for BiH producers, processors, handicraft organizations and service providers to better integrate them in the tourism value chain.

By this call, USAID Turizam intends to engage a company or organization to assist interested and qualified food producers and processors, travel agencies, hotels and restaurants, and other tourism-related organizations in introducing and implementing various quality standards such as protected geographical indications, certification marks, halal, organic products, and various other tourism-related standards such as Green Destinations, Travelife, etc. Support will be provided to interested organizations in the form of direct technical and advisory assistance in order to obtain one of the geographical indications, quality marks, halal, organic or other relevant standards and certificates related to tourism sector.

Public Call: Expanding Digital Marketing, Sales, and Distribution Channels for MSEs in Bosnia and Herzegovina

USAID Turizam invites all companies and organizations to submit proposals for Expanding Digital Marketing, Sales and Distribution Channels for MSEs in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

USAID Turizam is planning to provide firm-level support to interested and qualified micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in the tourism sector to help them to achieve their full potential and become more active and effective in promoting and selling BiH in the international marketplace. The firm-level assistance package of support will focus on marketing and sales across consumer channels to include online, social media, and third-party platforms. It is envisioned that the support will be provided in the form of direct capacity building.

Public Call: Creating and Implementing Training for Adventure Guides – AMENDMENT I

Practical Adventure Guide Training Services

USAID Turizam announces the amendments of the first call for qualified adventure tourism service providers, with the objective of establishing and implementing a training program for at least 20 adventure guides in accordance with international standards and the sector’s existing demand. Some of the most important eligibility criteria for a future service provider are a team of certified trainers, an adequate training facility, and prior experience providing similar trainings.

Adventure guides play an essential role in providing unique, professional, and responsible adventure experiences. The rapid growth of adventure travel over the last two decades has created an expressed need for professional guides in this niche. This finding confirms the study conducted by USAID Turizam as part of the recently published Strategy for Adventure Tourism Development in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and adopted strategies for tourism development in both entities of BiH. both entities of BiH. In order to address this issue in the short term and increase the number of certified and adequately skilled adventure tourism guides, USAID Turizam decided to provide assistance in meeting this challenge through a specialized education and training program. This will include a series of activities directed aimed at enhancing the skills of existing guides and educating new guides in BiH adventure tourism.
