The Disability Inclusion Plan is the first document in the tourism sector to raise awareness on establishing an inclusive environment and to express the need to bring fairness in all aspects of life. It also serves as a guide for the authorities and groups responsible for fostering good change, not only in the employment process but also in the creation of inclusive tourism destinations. The plan includes a series of suggestions based on information aimed at a broader range of interested parties.

It is necessary to develop and promote tourism as an activity that includes all people willing to participate and enjoy in tourist experiences. Through specialized training and employment programs, each individual with a disability will be acknowledged and valued for their skills and knowledge, as opposed to reinforcing disability stereotypes.

Through this plan, the USAID Turizam project seeks to secure the path toward full implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Optional Protocol in the BiH tourism sector by strengthening the “Tourism for All” principles of inclusion and access.
