The purpose of doing a Gender Assessment in the tourism sector is to identify major obstacles and essential interventions. Thus, it aims to expand opportunities for women in the tourism sector and other related sectors. The primary objective of the analysis is to develop an understanding of women who are involved in various tourism activities, whether they are women from rural and urban areas, more or less educated women, women in various positions along the tourism value chain; from agricultural producers to business owners and their employees to consumers of tourist products and services, as well as women with disabilities and LGBTIQ individuals.
The purpose of the analysis is to present findings, conclusions, and recommendations for four stakeholder groups: tourism management bodies, employers, tourism educational and research institutes, and civil society organizations.
