At a webinar targeting Bosnia and Herzegovina’s tourism industry, TripAdvisor Principal Client Partner Alexandra Blanchard shared encouraging results of the country’s promotional campaign on the world’s largest travel platform
Following the launch of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s first and biggest ever campaign on TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel platform, on 21 January, indicators show a growing interest for BiH’s touristic destinations, as pointed out by Alexandra Blanchard, TripAdvisor’s Principal Client Partner, during a webinar organized by the FBiH Chamber of Economy on 18 March. The webinar gathered representatives of tourist organizations and agencies, accommodation service providers, tour operators, and outdoor experience providers. The aim was to provide a more insightful perspective on the effective usage of the TripAdvisor platform, as well as providing a set of practical advice and recommendations for improving their business success at this platform.
The webinar participants had the opportunity to access exclusive country-specific market insights and learn what the global marketplace is saying BiH, familiarize themselves, with latest travel trends that will influence the future of travel, learn the different options for organizations and business to be listed on the world’s largest travel platform, access insights on how your ranking and listing can be improved, increase bookings or maximize profits, learn international best practices in online reputation management and how to capitalize on and benefit from the promotional campaign on TripAdvisor.
The 3-month campaign, funded by the FBiH Ministry of Environment and Tourism (FMoET) and implemented by the FBiH Chamber of Economy (FCoE) in partnership with USAID Turizam, aims to position the country as an attractive tourism destination in Germany, Turkiye, Austria, Serbia and Croatia.
The campaign is promoting 26 points of interests across the FBiH in three languages (English, German, Turkish) and thereby contributing to a series of USAID Turizam’s strategic goals, including propelling the brand of BiH in prioritized international markets, accelerating recovery of demand to pre-pandemic levels, setting arrivals on a growth trajectory, increasing the number of arrivals and reducing seasonality through targeted and effective marketing and promotion.
