Industry Partnership in Charting Strategies for Growth

With the support of USAID Turizam and in partnership with the private sector, the RS Ministry of Trade and Tourism in RS (MTTRS) has created the RS Tourism Development Strategy 2021 – 2027. Collaboration with the private sector was spearheaded by the RS Chamber of Commerce and contributions were made by the RS Association of Tourism and Hospitality Employers (HORECA) as well as engaged academics. The shared goal was to develop a forward-looking strategy for the development of tourism in RS. The strategy proposes activities that will catalyze investments and fuel the economic growth of RS. On 16 June, USAID Turizam supported the organization of the RS Tourism Awareness Conference in Banja Luka, organized by the Union of Employer’s Association of RS and in partnership with the RS Ministry of Trade and Tourism. The main objective of the conference was to convince decision-makers within the public sector to allocate more funds to the tourism sector in Republika Srpska.
