USAID Turizam organized two two-day workshops on the topic “Mastering Inbound Tourism: Strategies and Tactics for Success,” designed to enhance the skills and strategies of Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and those aiming to become DMCs in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The workshops were held in Sarajevo (December 9–10) and Banja Luka (December 12–13), with over 70 participants.
Led by tourism sector expert Jack Delf, founder of Black Mountain Montenegro Ltd., the workshops provided comprehensive training on various aspects of incoming tourism. Participants learned how to develop attractive tourist packages and itineraries, focusing on logistics and creating unique experiences. The workshops also covered key financial planning and pricing strategies, helping participants understand cost control and increase revenues.
The training emphasized the key role of international standards and sustainable practices in tourism, providing participants with practical guidelines for their implementation. The focus was also on risk management strategies, which are essential for the safety and protection of travelers. The workshops further motivated participants to build strong connections with international organizations, highlighting the importance of international cooperation for success in this sector.
Thanks to these workshops, led by Jack Delf, USAID Turizam has significantly enhanced the skills and knowledge of local DMCs, contributing to the increased competitiveness of the tourism sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The interactive sessions allowed participants to exchange experiences and network. By organizing such training programs, USAID Turizam actively strengthens local businesses and plays a key role in driving economic growth in the country.
