Continued collaboration with Holdina, the largest network of gas stations in BiH
USAID Turizam continues educating workforce in the wider tourism value chain. In previous time, Holdina’s employees have completed more than 1500 individual courses on Turizam Academy learning platform, through specialized customer services and hospitality courses.
In the latest phase of collaboration, Holdina has continued to invest in the skills of its employees by offering courses developed on the Turizam Academy platform. These courses include “Enhancing Communication Skills: How to Respond to Complaints and Compliments?” and “How to Offer Additional Services and Information about Tourist Attractions in Bosnia and Herzegovina?” These efforts resulted in a remarkable achievement of 1500 course completions in the previous three months.
Additionally, leveraging the enhanced customer service skills, Holdina has launched a social media campaign titled “Where to Go for the Weekend?” and featured a promotional banner on its loyalty app, directing users to the destination website Discover Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The partnership between USAID Turizam and Holdina is now in its third phase, following the workers’ completion of around 400 courses on Covid protocols to earn the company a Safe Travels stamp, as well as over 700 courses on “The Art of Hospitality”.
Through this partnership, gas station employees acquired valuable skills for customer service and promoting BiH tourism thanks to the valuable knowledge resource – Turizam Academy. The courses have not only enhanced their professional skills, but also significantly contributed to the overall quality of service provided to tourists. Ultimately, employees are becoming true tourism ambassadors of BiH tourism, serving as the “first point of contact” for destination promotion, both for local and foreign tourists.
Holdina’s integration of tourism promotion into its business model is a testament to the growing awareness of the significance of tourism BiH’s economic development.
1500 courses were completed by Holdina employees over the previous 3 months.
