Mountaineering Association Volujak, went on an exciting journey to increase the tourism offer in adventure tourism with the assistance of the USAID Turizam project. A Via Ferrata has been constructed with the goal of boosting the growth of adventure tourism on Mountain Volujak and attracting a greater number of mountaineers and adventurers. Mount Volujak is renowned for its exceptional mountaineering routes and is located in close proximity to the mega mountaineering trail Via Dinarica and the Sutjeska National Park, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s largest national park, adding special significance to the mountain’s broader tourism experience.

The Kuk Via Ferrata is 832 meters long and provides amazing panoramas of the Volujak, Lebršnik, and Zelengora peaks. The ferrata comprises parts of difficulty categories B and C, with a 202-meter height difference ending at the highest point of “Kuk” at 1817 meters above sea level. This is now the longest ferrata in Bosnia and Herzegovina, providing climbers of varying abilities with a spectacular experience. The distance between the Volujak mountain hut and the Via Ferrata is 8,400 meters.
